Really beautiful work.
How do you get the light and shading so nice? Do you just build up the layers how it feels right to get the shadows and depth? Or do you visualise it before putting them in? Or is there a particular reference that you use? Just curious
On these particular lineless pictures, I actually do all the shading and highlighting on one layer, a grey one, which I then dodge and burn around with until I think it looks nice >w< (as seen in this speedpaint of mine - this particular picture ain't so great, but it demonstrates the technique.) I then add colours on a layer on top, set to "overlay" or "multiply" or several layers like that, all so I can get it just the way I want it >w<
I always visualize most of my pictures before I start drawing, but I only use reference when I'm struggling with something or trying to learn something new, actually ^^'
lots of emotion evident in rainbows face, some simple but still with lots to look at
Beautiful work
